Northcross Greeting Card Co was started by Arthur and Jane Norcross, a brother and sister living in New York.  The year founded varies depending on where you look, however, the Smithsonian Institution says 1920's.  They were known for beautiful cards, copper plate etchings and hand made papers.  They were successful, however, in 1968, Arthur passed and the family could not maintain the business, so they sold, at one point the company had several owners. In 1974 the company relocated to West Chester and Exton, Pennsylvania.  In 1982, Ziff Corp, one of the owners, (who already owned Rust Craft Card Co), purchased Norcross.   Shortly after, in 1981, Windsor Communications purchased both Rust Craft and Norcross Greeting Card Company, unfortunately they filed bankruptcy.  What was left of Norcross was sold at auction.
